i can't recommend volks wizard enough. i saw their ad on autotrader and followed the link to andrew's site. you get the impression that he's passionate about the cars he sells and when i met him in person that was immediately obvious. his pictures of the car were great but still didn't do the car justice. when i visited his works premises the vehicle was in stunning condition. He answered all my questions and let me take a proper test drive. there was a minor problem with the car that the previous owner had pointed out and andrew promised to sort it out by the time i returned. he was true to his word and even picked me up from the train station. communications throughout the period were first class and it was a pleasure to do business with him. if i come across anyone wanting a second hand vw/audi/seat i will point them in his direction. basically, he's not satisfied unless you are. now that's what i call customer service! dan ellis (sandhurst)
There are only a very few car sales companies that I have found myself able to recommend without reservation, but Volkswizard is one of them. I bought my own Mk 4 GTI 1.8T from them some years ago, and Volkswizard also handled the sale of my previous car with a friendliness and efficiency rarely found in the car sales business these days. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Andrew at Volkswizard on a number of occasions, purchasing three cars from him and selling three cars to him. I have been dealing with Andrew for several years now, having bought my first Mk2 Golf GTI from him in 2002, I have recommended him to my Sister, who subsequently bought a Mk3 Golf GTI, additionally I have sold a Audi A6 Avant, and a friends Golf V6 4-motion though Andrew. He has never been anything less than friendly and efficient, and has answered all questions either over the phone or in email, even though they have been no benefit to himself. For example when looking for new cars, even though he has not had one in stock, he has proven invaluable in terms of advice on what to look for, and what to avoid. I could not recommend him more highly as someone to buy cars from, and as someone else has mentioned I would happily buy a car from him, just based on the detailed description from his web site. I have been dealing with Andrew now going into my 5th year. It started in 2004 with the purchase of a Mk1 Golf Cabriolet, then in 2006 due to the arrival of my daughter we traded back for a rare 180bhp Bora Sport, which then in late 2008 traded back in with Andrew for our most recent VW, a Mk5 Golf R32. Andrew in all this time has been like a good friend, and not like a second-hand car sales-man desperate for the sale, his attention to detail, guarantees his stock are some of the best and rarer VW's you will find. His knowledge of the VW/Audi product is vast, and most recently was used fixing & servicing a colleagues Audi A4 1.8T Cabriolet, where he was extremely accommodating and professional. I will continue to recommend 'Volkswizard', Andrew, to anybody searching for that reliable or rare VW/Audi companion, his love for the VW product is infectious. I bought a Passat TDi Sport from Andrew Chapple in September 2008. It had just short of 130k on the clock! Normally one would not go near such a high mileage vehicle. However, having purchased my previous car a Mk3 Golf GTi 16v Anniversary from Andrew I had no doubt that this Passat would be just as reliable. I moved to Wales in February of 2009 and I packed all my 'personal' belongings into the car with NO room left for even an umbrella! The car performed faultlessly and has done ever since I bought it. It serves as transport for my business as a painter and decorator, taxi service for my fiancee' and my day to day transport. Over the last week it has done in excess of 600 miles and with most of the them on the motorways between North Wales where I live and the Midlands. This car was meant for the motorways, and even with 164k now on the clock it still pulls smoothly and strongly and is very refined which is pretty good for an 8 year old vehicle and bears testimony to the build quality of these B5 Audi based Passat's. Even in excess of the motorway limit the car will still return over 50mpg and the overall consumption is in excess of 50. I have no hesitation in recommending Andrew to anyone. The quality of cars he sells and the aftercare is second to none and no matter where you live in the UK, if you are in the market for a quality used car...then look no further than Volkswizard. I enquired about an A4 190 Avant S-Line from Volkswizard. After a conversation about the car I made the journey from Edinburgh to Birmingham.The car was in truly superb condition and as honestly described by Andrew over the phone. I purchased a rare Golf VR6 from Volkswizard after looking for some time, the car was in superb condition, just as described and Andrew’s knowledge and professional approach were refreshing. We agreed a very fair part exchange for an Audi A3 which exceeded the amount offered by other dealers locally. The after sales service has been just as good, and has included resale back to Volkswizard of my Golf VR6, again a very smooth transaction. I have also recently made contact about not 1 but 2 ex-Volkswizard cars that I have seen on the market and Andrew has provided very useful and impartial information and buying advice, which have helped me enormously (although no benefit to him whatsoever). Selling you my immaculate low mileage 1991 8v Mk2 Golf GTI was simplicity itself. We agreed a deal in principle on the phone which you were happy to honour once you saw the car. Payment was immediate of course, and then you obliged me with a lift to Birmingham Airport railway station. I would also like to thank you for selling me a good, used front lower spoiler and road wheel for my current small bumper GTI. Both items had both been severely damaged when the car struck something very hard one filthy wet night at 70mph on the M1. The prices you asked for these items was very fair too.
