2001 model year V6 4motion in Jazz Blue Pearl Effect built at VW's Bratislava plant where as all V6s and R32s are assembled. 2 owners from new, both mature IT professionals who part exchanged it with us. Supplied 23/10/00 by Volkswagen Zentrum Braunschweig to full UK spec (unusually including Gamma stereo) with VW approved 'Oettinger' body styling fitted from new and Fondmetal 17" alloy wheels. We sold it to the 2nd owner in Feb 2009.

Full service history, all but 60k service performed by VW main agents. Serviced at 10929 (12/7/01), 23292 (18/5/02), 34080 (12/10/02), 40215 (4/1/03), 50781 (17/12/03), 60779 (11/10/04), 73203 (22/11/05), 82627 (23/8/06), 91109 (8/3/07), 103968 (3/12/07), 112114 (16/5/08). We serviced it in Feb 2009 and again in November 2009. New discs and pads all round 24/1/08. New front shocks 6/08. MOT 6/10/10. The service book is only partially stamped up but all receipts inc. those for services listed are present and the 1st owner compiled a spreadsheet listing all expenditure from new until Feb 09.

Fans replaced by VW 3/07 - this is a common fault on V6 models and most for sale will need this work at a cost £500.

Standard V6 4motion specification of rain sensing wipers, self dip rear view mirrror, wood dash inlays, climate control, 6 CD player in boot, Gamma radio cassette, remote central locking, alarm/immobiliser, 4 airbags, ESP traction and stability control, front fog lamps, trip computer, 3 spoke leather rimmed sports steering wheel, front electric windows, electric mirrors, sports suspension.
In Feb 2009 our pre-sale preparation included refurbishment of the alloy wheels (lacquer has cracked on two wheels now-we no longer use that refurbisher), repainting of the front spoiler and nearside mirror cap, touching up stonechips, paintless dent removal to both doors, replacement of both number plates, polishing of the exhaust tailpipes. The ESP system's longitudinal acceleration sensor was replaced in early 2009 (common fault). Recent new steering rack at a cost of £850. We have just performed an oil change using VW oil filter and VW Quantum Platinum fully synthetic oil and replaced the weeping thermostat housing (and for good measure though not essential the thermostat was replaced too while it was all apart) and the vehicle has now been ramp inspected by our ex-VW mechanic with no faults found. We are selling this V6 4motion in full working order, fully inspected and thus eligible for an RAC Silver Warranty and as a result we can't accept any offers - you can buy a car like this privately for slightly less but chances are it may prove worse value in the long term.
