i've always been a fan of the TT Roadster, apart from its small boot it really does work well as a fun convertible which still retains sufficient dynamic finesse to appeal to the keen driver. I've always been a fan of cars with the narrow angle 'VR6' engine and the prospect of being able to appreciate the tuneful nature of said lump with no roof in between has made the TT 3.2 V6 Roadster top of my 'must try' list and I wasn't disappointed. In stark contrast to the bland sounding 1.8T engines more commonly installed in the TT, the 3.2 is seriously sonorous with an addictive rasp that develops into a spine tingling howl as the red line approaches. The tough, reliable and pleasingly mechanical feeling 6 speed manual gearbox is the one to go for too, £2000 (min) DSG automatic repair bills I can do without thanks. I also prefer the 9 arm wheels fitted to this example over the heavy looking 6 spoke wheels which are standard on the 3.2. The red leather makes a pleasing change from the more common colours and Avus Silver which was first used on the 2001 Audi RS4 is a nice change from the traditional silver while retaining all its dirt hiding properties. But what makes this TT special is its outstanding condition throughout with quite probably all original paintwork, near perfect wheels and an excellent interior - unfortunately very rarely the case these days.
