| 1987 Mk2 Golf GTI 8v. Pre-facelift model with 2 piece front windows, deeper side mouldings, horizontal striped upholstery, LHD wipers. Just 1 owner from new, a retired engineer from rural Hertfordshire. When he went to his local VW dealership to purchase a Mk6 Golf, he was reluctant to scrap his beloved GTI and was told to contact us which he did do. Why have we decided to scrap it? Terminal rust is really becoming an issue on these early cars and while we could 'bodge' it to move it on, we don't want to land anyone with that kind of example. It wont pass the MOT which is due in early 2010. | ||||
